These were done by various street artists from Johor Baharu and can be found all around the hotel as well as the hotel rooms.
If there’s something else that makes the Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast a great place by the coast, it is definitely its open spaces! There are plenty of open spaces that allows natural lighting. With its close distance from the beach, expect cool breezes with a nicely illuminated space here that will be relaxing! Besides the comfort offered, private balconies are one of the main features of the Hard Rock Hotel as every room will have one while comfort is all to be expected. To make your experience better, you even can opt to have a Fender electric guitar sent to your room if you ever felt like jamming out (p/s: on a first-come-first serve basis so reserve as soon as you check in!). If you’re more into vinyl, the staff can also prepare a turntable for you to spin some records.
In terms of dining, Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast is the only Hard Rock Hotel that doesn’t carry a Hard Rock Cafe outlet – but many of the items from Hard Rock Cafe are available in the in-room dining menu, and there are actually a few places that you can enjoy eating in the hotel itself too!
Sessions is the Hard Rock Hotel Desaru’s flagship restaurant where guests can dine all day. The space here is perfect for their buffet breakfasts and dinners, while they also offer à la carte lunches with a wide range of food from local to international dishes.
If you crave for some Mexican food, check out The Elephant & The Butterfly, the hotel’s very own Mexican poolside bar and grill. With its open air concept, you can dine while overlooks Hard Rock Hotel’s infinity pool (yes, an infinity pool!). This place is actually inspired from two of Mexico’s greatest artists Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, and since it’s Mexican, be sure to expect hand-crafted margaritas and tequila too!
