Which places you can visit by using Kansai Wide Area Pass?
Once arrived at Kansai Airport, you can take Kansai Airport Rapid Service or Limited Express Haruka to go to Osaka Station
(or other JR Station inside Kansai Area that nearest to your accommodation).
From JR Shin-Osaka Station, take train to JR Saga-Arashiyama and visit Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.
Here you also can visit Togetsukyo Bridge, Tenryuji Temple and Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama.

From JR Shin-Osaka Station, take train to JR Himeji Station. By using Kansai Wide Pass, you can rent a bicycle for free! Just go to tourist information counter at JR Himeji Station and ask for it. Other alternative, you can just walk to Himeji Castle (about 20minutes) or take bus (100yen per ride).
From JR Himeji Station, take train to JR Sannomiya Station. From JR Sannomiya Station, you can walk about 15minutes to go to Kobe Mosque or if by bus, the fare only 660yen per way.
You also can visit Kobe Port, Port of Kobe Earthquake Memorial Park and Kobe Mosaic (by bus 260yen per ride).
Day 4 (A)
From JR Shin-Osaka Station, take train to JR Nara Station. Once there, you can choose to walk about 25minutes or you can take bus to go to Nara Park (210yen per ride). Here you also can visit Todaiji Temple (500yen per entry). During evening, you can go to Dotonbori for souvenir shopping. To go here, can take JR Train until JR Namba Station and walk about 15 minutes.
Day 4 (B)
From JR Shin-Osaka Station, take Shinkansen to JR Okayama Station (Sakura/Nozomi/Kodama). From JR Okayama Station, change platform and take JR Train to Kurashiki Station (still cover by Kansai Wide Pass, no worries!).
Day 4 (C)
From JR Shin-Osaka Station take train to JR Wakayama Station. Once there, change to platform 9 to take ride on
Wakayama Electric Train Kishigawa Line (FOC if have Kansai Wide Pass).
Day 4 (D)
From JR Shin-Osaka Station take direct train to JR Tottori Station using Limited Express Super Hakuto.
Please take note that this direct train is not frequent, you can check the timing using Hyperdia.com.
Day 4 (E)
From JR Kyoto Station take train to JR Amanohashidate Station using JR Hashidate Limited Express. Or you can take JR Kinosaki Limited Express to Fukuchiyama first then change train to Kyoto Tango Railway to go to Amanohashidate. Both way covered by Kansai Wide Pass.
Day 4 (F)
To go to Hakodateyama Ski Resort : From JR Kyoto Station take train to JR Station Omi-Imazu using JR Kosei Line. Once there, need to take bus to go to Hakodateyama Ski Resort (bus fare not covered by Kansai Wide Pass).
To go to Biwako Valley Ski Resort : From JR Kyoto Station take train to JR Shiga Station using JR Kosei Line. Once there, need to take bus to go to Biwako Valley Ski Resort (bus fare not covered by Kansai Wide Pass).
From Shin-Osaka Station, you can take Kansai Airport Rapid Service or Limited Express Haruka to go to Kansai Airport. Safe flight to Malaysia!
